Fall Colors & a New Bridge at Osprey Acres

We’ve been up camping at Osprey Acres in Plain the past two weekends – trying to get our fill of the fall colors while they last.  The nights have been cold (we woke up to 31 degrees one morning), so it’s possibly our last stretch of overnighters for a while.

We finally finished our footbridge, getting a coat of stain on it just before winter.  Our original plan was to build an arched bridge, but we realized that design would make moving materials in our wheelbarrow a problem.  So Jeff decided to keep the idea of an arch but lay it on it’s side.

Jeff decided to add a set of foot rails after seeing too many people (who may or may not have been drinking) nearly step off the side.

We found this guy living in the grease catcher of our grill.  He seemed perfectly happy just hanging out in there the entire weekend.
